Songs of Children is a series of miniatures written for my nieces and nephews. My original intention was to write two pieces for each child, but I stopped after writing works for the first two and have not continued since. I may continue the series at some point, but as for now I consider it finished. I think the five songs that are now in Songs of Children make a nice set, and I have no plans to add to it.

Two songs are written for each child. One of the two songs for each child reenacts a humorous musical moment in the child’s life. The other song describes some aspect of their character in some way. The final song is a lullaby dedicated to all my nieces and nephews.
