Keep up to date on new music, new contributors, and new happenings at ThatNewMusicWebsite.
ThatNewMusicWebsite.com sells and distributes scores, writings, recordings, and resources for composers, authors, and performers. Contributors (the composers, authors, and performers) upload their files to us. We look over the files and make sure everything is professional, notated properly, and works right. Then we create the web pages for all these works. Everything available on ThatNewMusicWebsite.com can be downloaded immediately after purchase.
Any "paper" products are distributed as PDF files. Recordings are transferred as MP3 files. Some works may be transferred as a ZIP file to cut down on file size and allow us to send multiple files in one folder. Some works may have different file types than the types mentioned above. For instance, an electronic work might have a .WAV file included with it.
You can see samples of scores and, if the composer uploaded one, you can also hear a portion or all of a recording of the works being sold. For some large works, you can even download part of the score. Or, for free works, you can download the whole thing
What else do you do?
We're seeking to enhance the interconnectedness and livelihoods of those in the new music community. At this point, ThatNewMusicWebsite.com basically sells stuff for our contributors. But we want the site to be a place where community within the new music community is fostered; a place where geographic distance means a little less. You can see some of our ideas for accomplishing this and a few other things on our In the Works page.
